Hey there!! As a Phoenix family photographer I get to meet so many incredible people vacationing to our sunny state in Arizona. With amazing weather and stunning views, it just makes sense! This incredible family was visiting the desert from Washington state and came to have a respite from the cold during the winter. They wanted to capture their desert getaway in style, and I was more than happy to help!
We had a gorgeous sunny day with perfect weather during this family’s pictures —ideal for capturing that golden desert glow. The kids were mesmerized by the cacti, and we all soaked in the Arizona warmth while exploring the desert together. It was an absolute joy to capture the kids sweet and silly personalities and document all the love this family has for each other. The family wanted to focus on having fun and capturing candid moments of the family enjoying each other. That’s exactly what we did and it was a blast!
This family shared that whenever they go on a vacation to a new place together they try to have professional pictures taken of their family to make for a fun experience and souvenir. I absolutely LOVE that idea and may see if my husband will get on board with that. (As if he actually will get a say in that decision… he knew he married a photographer! haha!) Most of the time I will bring my own camera and self-time some family pictures while on vacation, but it’s still not quite the same as hiring someone and making it a special and memorable experience. Hiring someone from the area you’re visiting is also a huge plus because they also know all the best local spots for pictures.
